My First Publix Trip

Now that I have Rite Aid and Kroger down, I'm expanding my reach. This week, I tried shopping at Publix. I've heard great things about this store, since they have a lot of store coupons available. They're also a step above Kroger (think Walmart vs. Target), though that does mean their prices are bit higher as well. They seem to have a lot of Buy One Get One Free sales -- which are great for couponers! Publix starts their sales on Wednesday, which gave me lots of time to get my list together as the closest Publix makes a great after-church stop. The biggest issue I had was several coupons that would have saved me even more weren't in my inserts Sunday morning. It's super frustrating when that happens! Even son, everything was 50% off before coupons.

Here's what I was able to do:

(6) Del Monte Fresh Cut Vegetables at $1.29 ($0.64)

(4) Del Monte Tomatoes at $1.49 ($0.74)

(3) Ronzoni Pasta at $1.39 ($0.70)
-- (3) $0.55/1 coupon makes it $0.15 ea.

(4) Campbell's Select Harvest Soup at $2.39 ($1.20)
-- (4) $1/1 coupon makes it $0.20

(2) Rice Krispies at $3.61 ($1.80)
-- $1/2 makes it $1.30

(2) Raisin Bran at $4.19 ($2.09)
-- $1/2 makes it $1.59

(2) Special K at $4.99  ($2.49)
-- $1/2 makes it $2.00

(2) Frosted Mini Wheats at $4.19 ($2.09)
-- $1/2 makes it $1.59

Sub-total: $61.39
BOGO sale: -$29.96
Coupons: -$9.65
Total: $22.30 for a savings of 63%
